Der Brand der Rütt-Arena
The video shown here was part of a movie role that could arise out of private hands. The material was damaged in several places and showed strong signs of aging. In a special laboratory of the film was first subjected to ultrasonic cleaning and renewed some adhesion points. Thereafter, a film scanning was performed in a method in which the brightness and color scheme for each frame is controlled automatically and precisely. The end result is a 34-second sequence in HD, which in 1931 was not provided with a verbal comment. Instead, we hear in the background the sounds of the fire and firefighting as well as the bells of a nearby church. In addition to the video, the personal narratives, Walter Rutt are recommended. His hand report from the disaster is here as a download.
